AlloyGator wheel protectors are designed to absorb impacts that would otherwise damage your alloy wheels. Made from super-tough nylon composite, they create a protective barrier between your wheel and the kerb. No. Unlike cheap DIY strips that stick to the face of the wheel and fly off at motorway speeds, AlloyGators feature a patented profile that physically locks between the alloy wheel and the tyre bead. They are MIRA tested and engineered to take heavy impacts without failing.
AlloyGators are highly recommended for leased vehicles. Lease companies charge upwards of £100 per wheel for kerb damage when you return the car. Protecting them with AlloyGators prevents these penalty fees, and they can be easily removed by a tyre fitter before handing the car back.
Yes. Depending on the severity of the rash, the AlloyGator profile overhangs the edge of the rim just enough to seamlessly cover up existing, unsightly scuffs while protecting against new ones. It’s a much cheaper alternative to a full diamond-cut refurbishment.
Not at all. AlloyGators are designed to stay on your wheels during a tyre change. Any competent tyre fitter can simply reseat the profile when fitting your new tyres (AlloyGator even provides a quick video guide specifically for fitters). In the rare event your tyre fitter is unsure or doesn't seat them back perfectly, just pop back into our Cradley Heath studio and we will reseat them for you completely free of charge.
You can clean them exactly as you would during your normal car washing routine, with one strict rule: do not use acid-based wheel cleaners. Harsh acidic chemicals will permanently damage and degrade the tough nylon plastic. Stick to a high-quality, pH-neutral wheel cleaner or standard car shampoo, and they will stay looking factory-fresh.
Because we are certified AlloyGator 5-Star Fitters, your installation comes with an upgraded, exclusive 2-year guarantee (standard fittings only include 12 months). In reality, the profiles are incredibly durable and typically outlast the time most people keep their cars—provided you keep the acid wheel cleaners away from them!
